Right you cunts...

I wanna fly to Buenos Aires end of December, from there to Rio mid January, back to London end of January.

The Skyscanner site doesn't do these sort of round robin trips, and I don't want to get my arse felt by the likes of Thomas Cook etc.

Talk to me.

Be careful with site mate, many good deals but a few scam sites in flight search. Can't recall the site name. I booked tickets and never received an itinerary on googling the actual ticket supplier the reviews were dire.

They get you to book a ticket and small print is a cancellation fee. Nothing is taken from your credit card until the day of the flight when you will be charged for the cancellation.I just reported my credit card lost, Now I have Google review of any third party ticket suppller

To be fair, it seems that Len has gone on Skyscanner, shouted at it for a bit, then given up and come here.

plenty of sites allow you to build these trips, I did a very similar trip years ago and booked it all online, may have been expedia from memory.

You might wish to fly LATAM. Not sure if they do London-Rio direct, but if not then via Sao Paolo?

I'm advised to avoid Aerolineas Argentinas at all costs by people who know that neck of the woods better than me.

UK-based development aid consultants I work with (who often have complicated schedules and/or travel off the beaten track) tend to use Trailfinders.

Skyscanner can do that Len, I priced my one up on there and then used DialAFlight to book it

Make sure you go to Ilha Grande while you're in Brazil.

We stayed in the Pousada Beira Mar....short stroll from the ferry, nice little rooms, great breakfasts, decent price.

Some really cool little restaurants right on the beach too.

Trust me, it's worth the trip.

Might even be starting earlier because of the world cup. I use KLM for my flights to Brazil and they go from Rio to amsterdam then you can get back from there.

Have used Travel Republic successfully in the past.

Can just ring them as well if trip is too complex for the website. Based in Kingston too..

The Carioca starts in January in Rio, so you might be able to find a game. This is the state championship and as good as the league

Just realised there's no football in Brazil or Argentina in January.

Fuck's sake.

Book flights and hotel separately?

From a flights point of view, major airlines have multi trip options on their websites and from experience, the prices are no more expensive than other websites.

For hotels there is a multitude of web sites.

Speak to STA. Actually go into a branch and have a chat with them. All their target audience are backpackers and students so they're best for cheap shit. Also all their staff are ultra helpful and know what they're a talking about (they get sent on these sorts of trips as part of their training).

You could also do the middle bit by bus, which is more interesting and el cheapo. You could keeo the driver awake comparing stories about falling asleep at the wheel.

Kayak is often best for me. Opodo shows options too.

ITA Matrix should show everything, but isn't as user-friendly and is less sensible.
